When selected, these negative permissions will allow users to create and view but not edit various forms in adilas. Here is a brief review, as well as the corresponding id #’s so you can do a search and find them easily.
First, from the classic homepage, navigate to the system management drop down menu, and choose add/edit payees and permissions. Select the employee you are limiting access to by clicking on their name. Search the id= number (found to the right of the permission) you need and select the box. The easiest way to search for these id numbers is using ctrl f and entering the number in the search field when it pops up on your screen. This is the method used in the video demonstration, but the field is out of view of the recording so it can’t be seen.
Here are the limiting permissions as seen on the user permissions page:
View Only Items: This is a special negative permission that limits employee access to parts and general inventory items to “read only”. This makes it so that the employee is unable to make edits to a part number once it is created. Search for Id= 171 on the permissions homepage to select this.
View Only Quotes: This is a special negative permission that limits employee access to quotes to “read only”. This makes it so that the employee is unable to make edits to a quote once it is created. Search for Id=168. As you can see in the image below, the employee created a quote, but when they try to open the quote it says “view only.”
View Only Invoices: This is a special negative permission that limits employee access to invoices to “read only”. This makes it so that the employee is unable to make edits to an invoice once it is created. Search for Id=160.
View Only Expense/Receipts: This is a special negative permission that limits employee access to expense/receipts to “read only”. This makes it so that the employee is unable to make edits to an expense/receipt once it is created. Search for Id=170.
View Only PO’s: This is a special negative permission that limits employee access to PO’s to “read only”. This makes it so that the employee is unable to make edits to a PO once it is created. Search for Id= 169.
View Only Customer: This is a special negative permission that limits employee access to customers to “read only”. This makes it so that the employee is unable to make edits to a customer once it is created. Search for Id=167.
View Only Vendors: This is a special negative permission that limits employee access for vendors to “read only”. This makes it so that the employee is unable to make edits to a vendor once it is created. Search for Id=166.
